ABOUT SPAN ELEVATORS · EST. 2000

Twenty-Five Years Ago, an Engineer Bet That an Indian Company Could Build Elevators as Well as the Global Giants.

He was right. Span Elevators — founded and still run by Mr. Sunil Tandon, an engineer by profession — has spent a quarter-century proving it: 2,500+ elevators, zero safety incidents, and a string of engineering firsts the giants didn't expect. Engineered to Elevate. Designed to Endure.

A Vertical-Mobility Company. Not a Trader With a Catalogue.

Span engineers, supplies, installs and maintains the full range of vertical movement — home, passenger, hospital, goods-cum-passenger and car elevators, and, as authorized partner for the world's leading stairlift brands, chair elevators too. We hold a deliberate position: premium engineering, without the import games of the multinationals or the corner-cutting of the low-cost shops. A lift that rivals the global giants on quality, and answers to one accountable Indian company on service.

From a North India Pioneer to a Pan-India Standard.

Span Elevators was incorporated in 2000 under the guidance of Mr. Sunil Tandon — an engineer who built the company on one conviction: that safety and engineering should never be the price of choosing an Indian manufacturer. In the years since, Span became the first non-MNC company in North India to deliver a microprocessor elevator, the first to install a machine-room-less elevator, and the first to raise a high-rise elevator — firsts that, at the time, belonged only to the multinationals. That record earned the next chapter. Span no longer thinks of itself as a North India business; it is a Pan-India one, carrying people, vehicles and industrial loads in buildings across the country, to the same standard it set on day one.

25|0

Twenty-Five Years. Zero Incidents. That Isn't Luck.

The number Span is proudest of is the one that never happened — not a single operational, functional or safety incident in twenty-five years. An elevator carries the people you love and the people you're responsible for. That's why every Span installation is built and maintained to IS 17900, and why 25|0 isn't a slogan. It's the outcome of a standard the founder still refuses to lower.

Firsts the Giants Didn't Expect From a Non-MNC.

  • First microprocessor elevator delivered by a non-MNC company in North India.
  • First machine-room-less (MRL) elevator installed by a non-MNC company in North India.
  • First high-rise elevator raised by a non-MNC company in North India.

And when the brief is supposedly impossible — like the Gurgaon condominium where the shaft barely held two people — Span delivered a fully compliant, rose-gold-finished elevator that fit the space and the standard at once. Customization isn't a feature here. It's the habit.
